A Drive with Leila – 90 Years of History

When: March 28, 2026

As part of the initiative In Their Words: Stories from the Gatineau Valley, developed in partnership with award-winning documentary filmmaker Conor Devries, we invite you to a screening of the documentary A Drive with Leila – 90 Years of History.
This documentary honours the life and story of local resident Leila Bates, who passed away shortly after the film was completed.

The screening will take place on March 28, 2026, at the Wakefield Legion.
(27 Chem. de la Légion, Wakefield, QC)

Doors open at 3:00 p.m., with the screening beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Refreshments will be served.

We invite those who wish to attend to RSVP by emailing info@fairbairn.ca.

While we’re asking for RSVPs to help us gauge attendance and plan accordingly, this event is open to everyone, so please don’t hesitate to join us even if you didn’t RSVP.

This project has been made possible by the Government of Canada.
