Our Elders’ stories: Calling community members aged 50 and up!

Until March 14, 2025

Fairbairn House Heritage Centre is seeking enthusiastic individuals aged 50 and up to join our Our Elders’ Stories project as co-directors!

This is a unique opportunity to help preserve and celebrate the remarkable stories of our local elders. As a participant, you’ll take part in two engaging workshops this February:

· Types of documentary & directing styles

· Story structure and research

Afterwards, you’ll collaborate with an award-winning filmmaker from the Outaouais region to create a short documentary highlighting the story of a local elder.

No experience necessary! We’ll provide you with all the skills you need to help create an incredible short documentary! If you’re interested in participating or looking for more information, please email info@fairbairn.ca with “our elders’ stories” in the subject line.
